6. MARY MCDERMOTT was born on 28 Sep 1883 in St. Nicholas, Aberdeen and died in 1955 in East London, South Africa. She was an apprentice chemist in 1901 in Grangemouth, Stirlingshire and, later, a masseuse.

She was married to ARTHUR ALEXANDER JARDINE (son of WILLIAM JARDINE and MARY JANE CONNOR) on 27 Apr 1914 in Newtonards, County Down.
